Welcome to CASA, A Voice for Children
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)

CASA, A Voice for Children recruits, screens, trains and supervises volunteers to advocate for children who have been victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment and are dependents of the Napa Juvenile Court. CASA volunteers are sworn officers of the court, appointed by a judge to be an independent advocate and report on the best interests of children.

CASA is committed to:

  • Early intervention.
  • A safe, stable, permanent home, which provides an environment where a child can thrive.
  • Educational advocacy to promote academic success for the child.
  • Advocacy and mentoring for children in long-term foster care to assist with the development of life skills and successful emancipation.
  • Advocacy based on respect for the uniqueness of every child sensitive to race, religion, disability, and gender.
  • Increased public awareness and support for children in need.

Mission Statement

The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program is dedicated to providing abused, neglected and abandoned children a voice in Court throughout their process in the Juvenile Court system. Trained community volunteers work with children and their families, one child at a time, to develop an independent assessment and recommendation of that which is in the best interest of the child.
